Cette politique est publiée en anglais. Pour toute question, écrivez-nous à support@montigames.tech.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Monti Games, ABN 52 253 846 298, of Melbourne, Australia ("Monti Games", "we", "us" or "our") makes card games. Contact us at support@montigames.tech.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information across everything we operate (together, the "Services"):
- This website, montigames.tech.
- Belote Pro, on belotepro.com, its mobile apps and Facebook Instant Games.
- Our Facebook Instant Games: Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, FreeCell, TriPeaks, Sum & Sweep, Card Battle, Jack Sweep, Bridge, and Spades.
Belote Pro has accounts, virtual coins and purchases, so it also has its own, more detailed Belote Pro Privacy Policy. Section 6 summarises it; where the two differ for Belote Pro, the Belote Pro policy applies. Each Facebook game also shows its own short policy in its menu, consistent with this one.
We are the controller of personal data for the processing we determine under applicable European data-protection law, and we are responsible for it under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Meta, app stores, payment companies and advertising providers also process information for their own purposes under their own privacy notices. Mandatory rights under applicable local law continue to apply.
Reading this policy confirms that you have received information about our practices. It is not blanket consent to all processing. Where consent is required, including for personalised advertising, we ask for it separately and let you withdraw it.
2. Our games at a glance
| Game | Where you play | Your account | What our servers keep about you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, FreeCell, and TriPeaks | Your Facebook account | Nothing but short-lived diagnostic log lines (14 days). Your progress is saved by Facebook. | |
| Sum & Sweep, Card Battle, Jack Sweep, Bridge, and Spades | Your Facebook account | A player record keyed by the game's Facebook player ID, a login session and your results in that game; in Card Battle, Bridge, and Spades, also your hints. | |
| Belote Pro | Web, Android, iOS, Facebook | A Belote Pro guest account or a linked sign-in | Your profile, gameplay records, friends and clubs, and coin and purchase records — see section 6. |
We never sell personal information, we do not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting kits, and none of our games has free-text chat.
3. This website
montigames.tech is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no forms, no analytics, no advertising and no scripts, and it sets no cookies of its own. Our hosting and content-delivery providers process your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks; this information stays in their short-term server and security logs and is not used to identify you. Our content-delivery provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to filter malicious traffic.
If you email us, we use your address and your message only to reply and follow up, and we keep the correspondence no longer than needed for that and for any legal obligation.
Links on this site take you to Facebook, belotepro.com or app stores, which apply their own privacy notices.
4. Our Facebook Instant Games
Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, FreeCell, TriPeaks, Sum & Sweep, Card Battle, Jack Sweep, Bridge, and Spades run inside Facebook (Facebook Instant Games) under Meta's "Zero Permissions" model. You sign in with your Facebook account. We never receive your name, profile picture, e-mail address, friend list or anything you type. Where a game shows your name or picture, Meta draws them on screen itself; we cannot read or store them.
Information processed in every Facebook game:
- Your app-scoped player ID. Meta gives you a different ID in each of our games; it means nothing outside that game, and we cannot link it to your Facebook profile or to your IDs in our other games.
- Saved games, settings, language and best scores, stored in Meta's player-data store for that game, on Meta's side, not on our servers.
- Tournament scores. When you open a game from a tournament or create one, your score is posted to Meta's Tournaments feature and shown by Facebook to the players in that tournament. Sharing a result or challenging friends opens Facebook's own dialog: you choose where it goes and post it yourself; we never post on your behalf.
- Technical diagnostics. If an advertisement fails to load or the game hits an error, a short log line (player ID, what failed, when) is sent to our server so we can fix it. These lines are deleted after 14 days.
Additionally, in the online games (Sum & Sweep, Card Battle, Jack Sweep, Bridge, and Spades): our game server seats you at tables with other people and computer players, so it keeps:
- A player record keyed by your app-scoped player ID, with when it was created and when you last played.
- A login session: a random token, of which our server keeps only a one-way fingerprint. It expires after 180 days without play.
- Your results in that game: games played, won and lost, and your best score.
- The match you are playing: the cards, the moves and who sits where, held while the match runs (so a dropped connection can return you to your seat) and deleted when the match ends.
- Your hints (Card Battle, Bridge, and Spades): hints are paid with in-game coins — a welcome gift, and coins you earn by choosing to watch a video. Our server keeps a record of each credit and each hint used, which is also how the daily limit on rewarded videos is applied. These coins cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for anything outside the game.
- Emotes you send at the table, chosen from a fixed set; they are passed to the other players and not stored.
Other players at your table see your seat, your moves and your emotes, and Meta shows them your Facebook name and picture. Empty seats are filled by computer players, which see only what a human player in that seat would see; they never see your cards.
In the single-player games (Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, FreeCell, and TriPeaks) our servers keep no account and no profile at all.
Our Facebook games do not store your IP address, device details or location, and use no cookies, analytics software or tracking of any kind. They sell nothing: if a game ever offers purchases, we will update this policy first.
5. Advertising in our games
Facebook games. Advertisements are served by Meta Audience Network: an interstitial at natural breaks (for example between games), a banner along the bottom of the screen during play, and, in some games, an optional rewarded video you choose to watch for extra hints or undos. Meta is the controller of the data it processes to serve and measure those advertisements; you can manage your ad preferences in Facebook's settings. We receive no personal data from the advertisements, only whether an advertisement was shown or failed.
Belote Pro. Advertisements are served by Google (AdSense on the website, AdMob in the apps) and, inside Facebook, by Meta Audience Network. Personalised advertising is off unless you consent; the Belote Pro Privacy Policy (section 8) describes the choices.
We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising may nevertheless fall within broader local definitions of a sale, sharing or targeted advertising; where such laws apply to us, we provide the required notice and choices and honour legally applicable opt-out signals.
6. Belote Pro in brief
Belote Pro is a 2-vs-2 online Belote game for players aged 18 or older. Because it has its own accounts, a virtual-coin economy and purchases, it processes more than our Facebook games. In summary:
- Account and profile: an account identifier, a display name and avatar (generated, or supplied by the sign-in provider you link), your settings, the sign-in method and the provider's identifier for you, and a device identifier. We do not store your email address, phone number or password.
- Gameplay and social: matches, statistics, skill rating, Fair-Play reputation, friends, clubs, referrals and predefined emotes.
- Coins and purchases, where offered: coin balance and an append-only ledger, and the purchase details needed to deliver and support a purchase. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider or app store, never by us.
- Device, technical and approximate location information (from your IP address and device time zone), used for security, a profile flag you can switch off, and the regional rules for coins and purchases.
- Cookies and device storage for sign-in, a device identifier and your preferences; advertising as described in section 5. Inside Facebook, Facebook provides sign-in and the game sets no advertising cookies.
- Automated Players: computer-controlled participants marked "AI", seated only where the table allows them and after you have been told about them.
You can delete your Belote Pro account yourself from Account & privacy on your profile, from the in-game menu inside Facebook, or by emailing support@belotepro.com; the steps are at belotepro.com/delete-account. The full details, legal bases, retention periods and choices are in the Belote Pro Privacy Policy.
7. Why we use information, and the legal bases
We use information to run the games you play and the features you ask for, seat you at tables and keep your results, show advertisements, diagnose and fix faults, keep the Services secure and fair, answer you when you contact us, and comply with the law. Where the GDPR or a corresponding law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Running the games: player record, sessions, matches, results, saved games and tournament scores | Contract — necessary to provide the game you chose to play |
| Diagnostics, security, anti-cheat and abuse prevention | Legitimate interests in a reliable and fair game, balanced against your rights |
| Non-personalised advertising that funds the free games | Legitimate interests; Meta and Google act as independent controllers for their own processing |
| Personalised advertising (Belote Pro) | Consent, asked separately and withdrawable |
| Answering emails and privacy requests | Legitimate interests, or legal obligation where a law requires the response |
| Tax, accounting and other legally required records (Belote Pro purchases) | Legal obligation |
You may ask us about a legitimate-interest assessment, or object to processing based on legitimate interests.
8. Who receives information
We disclose information only as needed for the purposes in this policy, to these categories of recipient:
- Meta Platforms, which operates Facebook, Facebook Instant Games, player data, Tournaments and Meta Audience Network.
- Hosting, content-delivery and security providers, which run the servers and network the Services use.
- For Belote Pro: sign-in providers, payment processors and app stores, IP-location and connection-risk providers, and Google advertising, as described in the Belote Pro Privacy Policy.
- Professional advisers, regulators, courts and law-enforcement bodies, where a lawful disclosure is required or justified.
Some providers act as processors on our instructions; others (Meta, app stores, payment, sign-in and advertising providers) act as independent controllers under their own notices. If the business is reorganised or transferred, relevant information may be disclosed under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards, and we will tell you of a change of controller where required.
9. International processing
We operate from Australia. Our service providers process information in Australia, the EU/EEA, Switzerland and the United States, depending on the provider and product; Meta processes the data it holds under its own transfer arrangements.
Where information is transferred from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland to a destination requiring additional safeguards, we use an applicable lawful transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses with the required UK or Swiss adaptations, together with supplementary measures where necessary. Australia is not covered by a general EU adequacy decision. You may ask for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
10. How long we keep information
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Player record and results in an online Facebook game | Until you ask for them to be deleted (section 11) |
| Login sessions (online Facebook games) | 180 days after you last played |
| A match in progress | Until the match ends |
| Hint records (Card Battle, Bridge, and Spades) | Until you ask for deletion; then kept only without your player ID, so they can no longer be linked to you |
| Diagnostic log lines (all games) | 14 days |
| Saved games, settings and tournament scores (Facebook games) | Held by Meta, under Meta's policies; removing the game from Facebook removes them |
| A deletion confirmation code and the player ID it concerns | Kept so the deletion can be checked; nothing else about you |
| Emails you send us | As long as needed to deal with your message and any legal obligation |
| Belote Pro account, purchase and ledger records | As set out in the Belote Pro Privacy Policy (section 11) |
Any backups are overwritten in their normal cycle, and a deletion is reapplied if a backup is ever restored. A legal hold or an active dispute may justify keeping limited records longer.
11. Deleting your data
Facebook games. Remove the game from your Facebook account (Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → Instant Games → the game → Remove). For our online games, Meta then sends us a data-deletion request automatically and we delete your player record, sessions and results straight away, remove your player ID from any hint records, and confirm with a code that Facebook shows you. Removing a game also removes the progress Facebook saved for it. If you play again later, you start with a new, empty profile. Step-by-step instructions for each game:
If you cannot use Facebook's settings, email support@montigames.tech with the subject "Delete my data" and the name of the game, and we will help you.
Belote Pro. Delete your account from Account & privacy on your profile or from the in-game menu inside Facebook, or email support@belotepro.com. See belotepro.com/delete-account.
Deleting or uninstalling an app on its own does not delete your data. A platform or payment provider may keep its own records under its own obligations.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, receive a copy in a portable form, restrict processing, or learn about disclosures. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and, where processing depends on consent, withdraw it at any time. Some US state laws give rights to opt out of specified advertising or profiling activities, to use an authorised agent or to appeal a refused request, where those laws apply to us.
To make a request about a Facebook game or this website, email support@montigames.tech and name the game; for Belote Pro, email support@belotepro.com. Because our Facebook games never learn your name or e-mail address, we may ask you to confirm which game profile is yours from inside the game before we act. Do not send passwords, full card numbers or identity documents.
Rights have legal exceptions, which we will explain if we rely on one. We normally answer GDPR requests within one month and explain any lawful extension within that time; other requests are handled within the applicable local deadline. Requests are free unless the law permits a fee for excessive or manifestly unfounded requests, and we never penalise you for exercising a right. You can also complain to a privacy regulator (section 16).
13. Children and minimum age
Our Facebook games are intended for players aged 13 and over, in line with Facebook's minimum age (or any higher age required where you live). Belote Pro is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly process information about children below these ages. If we learn that we have, we will delete information we have no lawful reason to keep. A parent or guardian who believes a child has used one of our games should contact us.
14. Security and automated processing
We protect information with encrypted connections, login tokens that are stored only as one-way fingerprints, verification of every request Meta signs (sign-in and data-deletion requests), access controls, rate limiting and security monitoring, and by collecting as little as we can in the first place. No service can guarantee absolute security; we assess incidents and notify affected people and regulators where the law requires.
Matchmaking, computer players and game results are run by automated rules. In our Facebook games these do not produce decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you. Belote Pro's regional eligibility checks are described in its own policy; where applicable law gives you rights about solely automated decisions, we honour them, including human review.
15. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when what we process, our games or the law change — for example when we release a new game. We will change the date at the top and give more notice of material changes where required. If a new activity needs your consent, we will ask for it; continuing to play does not by itself give that consent.
16. Contact and complaints
Privacy contact: support@montigames.tech, addressed to Monti Games (for Belote Pro, support@belotepro.com). Please describe the issue, the game it concerns and a safe way to contact you. We will acknowledge and investigate complaints and explain the outcome, aiming to respond substantively within 30 days or to explain any delay, without limiting a shorter statutory deadline.
